ORA Coral and Seahorses, Tile Starfish an Awesome Shipment

What a week for fish!! We have some great looking stuff from all over the world! Too many locations to highlight this week, but the store is looking great! We do have some new critters on special this week, and the return of a couple that we have not seen in a while!

We do have a small shipment coming in Friday from ORA with some of their most popular corals, and something new for us, their Tiger Tail Seahorses (Hippocampus comes)!! We always love new things and are happy to say that there will be less expensive than the Erectus we normally carry and are perfectly compatible! These guys will usually get a pretty cool ring pattern around their tail as they mature, hence the name! These will be a little smaller than we normally get, but are feeding on frozen mysis, so the hard part is already done! These will be limited this weekend, but depending on the response, we may see them again soon!

Another cool thing we are trying this week as a first is offering Algagen live baby brine shrimp! These are super nutritious and one of the most perfect coral and fish foods! While small, (about the size of copepods) they are at a concentration of 1000-1250 per ounce and have an incredible amount of fat and protein! Baby brine can live in the aquarium until adulthood so long as the filtration doesn’t take them out. We are going to be offering these two different ways, a half portion (8000-10000 shrimp) or a shot in any other live feed (2000-2500 shrimp). Let us know what you and your aquarium think and we will keep trying to offer the best of what is available!
